"Device Art: A New Form of Media Art from a Japanese Perspective" By Machiko Kusahara.

From this essay, the author talks about the "Device Art". Device Art is a concept for re-examining art-sciencetechnology relationships both from a contemporary and historical perspective in order to foreground a new aspect of media art. The device art is such a new branch of media art. This new branch of technology has been explored and plays a major role in Japan. And also, what we call device art is a form of media art that integrates art and technology as well as design, entertainment, and popular culture. The device art is using in anywhere now. For me, i'm more like the traditional arts. I like to create "arts" by my hands, because I can enjoy the process. On the other hand, I still admire the device arts, even I am very bad on the technological things.

"Design Noir: The Secret life of Electronic Objects" by Anthony Dunne and Fiona Raby

From this essay, the authors talks about the life of an electronic object. The authors said that consumer gadgets come with unsuspected "accessories". However, the electromagnetic forces which influence certain aspects of our daily life. They are everywhere but they are invisible and we are not aware of them most of the time, although traces of their existence are all around us. Now the technology is develop very well. I start to think about that if the technology can do most of things for human, that will make human not to use brain, and will make human get dumber.
